What are vaccine/COVID-19 requirements?

None.

What are my luggage requirements?

Standard airlines specify one suitcase and one carry-on. Details about size of bags (and other details) can be found at the Delta Airlines website here.

What time should I arrive the airport?

You should be at your departure gate checked in with your airport coordinator at least two hours prior to departure time.

Who are the airport coordinators?

East TN - John Greene

Middle TN - Joe Fitzpatrick

West TN - Scott Shepherd

What if I have food allergies?

You were each given the opportunity to share about food allergies during registration. Our Guatemala coordinators will have alternate meals as needed.

What costs (beyond my registration payments) will I be responsible for?

All of your Guatemala expenses are covered--including all meals, lodging, travel, etc. The only things you will pay for out-of-pocket are airports snacks/meals, discretionary items such as an extra afternoon latte or soft drink, souvenirs, etc.

What about tipping?

Tipping is covered in the fees you have paid (or are paying)--including guides, bus drivers, servers, translators, etc. Please do not tip otherwise.

Are there any specific power requirements in Guatemala?

Plugs in Guatemala are the same types as here in the US. The only possible needs are if you have devices with 3-prongs. In this case, you will need convertors to convert 3-pronged (grounded) devices to 2-pronged.

Who do I contact if I have registration questions?
Heather Beard, TBMB Partnership Missions

1.800.558.2090 Ext. 2061

Who is coordinating our travel?

Tennessee Baptist Mission Board’s partnership missions is coordinating our travel details in conjunction with E3 Guatemala. David Singleton is stateside, and Gerry Eudy is the missionary “on the ground” in Guatemala through our E3 Partnership. Salvador Zapeta, president of the Guatemalan Baptist Convention will also be accompanying us, along with Damaris Alcantara, our mobilizer.

Passports
Please bring your passport. We really want you to travel with us to Guatemala. I suggest making a copy of your passport and putting it in your checked luggage.

Departure Airport
Be sure to double and triple check your departure airport. You will find this information on your e-ticket, as well as added to the Airline/Flight Info section of our www.tmcguatemala.com website.

Flight Times
Be sure to check our website (or your e-ticket) for updated flight times. Many flights were only changed by 5 minutes or so, but Nashville (for example) has a 30-minute earlier departure date than originally scheduled. Others get home 30-45 minutes later on their final flight.

Airport Arrival Time
Please gather near the Delta terminal/counter with your group leader at least 2 hours prior to your departure time. This is imperative. You may be sitting around for over an hour, but we can’t risk not getting on each of our flights in a timely manner.

Airline Tickets
Please print and bring your e-tickets with you to the airport to aid with the check-in process. You will still get a real ticket at the Delta counter. (Heather e-mailed these to you previously.)

Airline Check-In

You may be able to check-in for your flight 24 hours in advance on Delta’s website.

Itinerary and Phone # in Luggage

Some suggest putting a copy of your itinerary and phone number in your luggage (in case it is lost).
